Technology is so wonderful - the ability to connect with someone thousands of miles away and to talk in real time. Today the family had a 'reunion' . Paul is now with Sam, in Melbourne, Serene and Meng How are here with us in KK. We had a family time together - talking of mundane things - except we had to shout into the phone !! I can see the broad grin in dad's face as he talked to his boys. So far away, and yet it's as if they're here in the living room.
This morning Serene invited her friends over for tea - I think they had a good time together, sampling Serene's blueberry cake. It was supposed to be strawberry - but we couldn't find any stawberries. Last night we went on a strawberry hunt - first we went to Bestmart - the strawberries were pathetic - so we went to Tong Hing - none. So we went back to Bestmart - but the strawberries were sold out. So we went to Merdeka Supermarket - nil and we proceed to Servay Hyper - none. Sigh. So we settled for tinned blueberries. Lesson learnt - if you see any stawberries, just grab them !!
Yesterday we drove to Kota Belud to the Sunday Tamu. On the way back, we stopped at one of the stalls for durians. Wish you were there with us, boys !! Don't you wish for some durians too ?
