THE GOLDEN GIRLS

They say "Life begins at sixty... or thereabout" and it's true. Been reading the book "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weineer. The author traverse round different parts of the globe to find the key to happiness. What makes people happy? Why are they happy? Is is money? He observed that Qatar has lots of money and the citizens had an army of foreign workers serving their need - yet the Qataris don't seemed happy. Is it the culture? The system that works like clock and makes our lives predictable? Is it our attitudes about life and people?

I think there's more than one path to happiness. One of them is relationship. My friend Choy Min and my sister Alicia came over for dinner. What a riot they created. The night started sanely with a simple dinner, followed by wine and tea. The conversation flowed seamlessly - picking up the thread where we last left (which was more than 5 years ago).. Here we are - looking so demure.....apple pie and cinnamon buns

Then the laughter started - bellyful. We laughed till our tears flowed.

Yes, life's good at sixty but ....Oh no - no close up please
