Trengganu is famous for its seafood by-products. Trengganu folks are very hospitable. When I was in Kuala Tengganu ( to witness the by-election), my liason officer took me to sample the famous 'nasi dagang' - steamed rice with fish curry. Mind you, it's no ordinary steam rice - it's a mixture of pulut and other different grades of rice. It was scrumptious. Then there's nasi kerabu - rice with fresh salads and dried prawns. Very healthy. Another popular delicacy is 'keropok lekor'. People rave about it, so I decided to have some. ..... Well, if you like to chew leather soaked in oil, you might find 'keropok lekor' delectable. Dad's verdict? "Not bad lah. Very chewy"
