MILESTONES

Celebrated my dad's 83rd birthday. Each birthday is indeed a bonus and I would want to come home to celebrate the important event with my parents every year.

No birthday is complete without the grandchildren and it's indeed a blessing to be able to be surrounded by your children and grandchildren during such celebrations. As the psalmist says : "Sons (and daughters) are a heritage from the Lord, and children (meaning grandchildren) a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons (and daughters) born in one's youth. blessed is a man whose quiver is full of them." (Ps 127)

"Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house and your sons like olive shoots around your table." (Ps 128)

Of course some grandchildren can get over-enthusiastic. And here is one grandchild eagerly wanting to blow out the candle while another one trying to prevent him from spitting into the precious cake !!
Part of the gathering. It was a simple meal but celebrated with much joy for the birthday boy!!
