BONDING WITH THE NEXT GENERATION

Chinese New Year is a time to bond with the younger generation and observe their progress over the years. It's always a delight to see how they've grown and matured over the years.... from babies to toddlers, young children and teens. At the same time, nostalgia sets in when one sees them slowly losing their innocence. Sunrise, sunset, swiftly flow the years...Was that the little girl I carried... was that the little boy at play? I don't remember growing older... when did they? 

This year in KL we were treated to a Kungfu display by Ryan. It was an impressive display for he really put his heart and soul into that performance

Not to be outdone,  the younger sister wanted a piece of the glory. So, with a little coaching from the older brother, she came up with this stance...

 And this this pose...... :-)

Meanwhile, meet Alyssa and Aaron, two formidable chess players.

 And Aaron, the boy who never lose a chess competition with an adult.

  He employed 2 fool proof strategies :
Strategy 1 : Always undo your step when you are losing the match
Strategy 2 : Always offer to 'help' your opponent move the chess pieces - thus moving it to your advantage!

Two formidable players deeply engrossed in their game.

They grow so fast - so it's important to capture these moments. Carpe Diem! Seize the day!
