I have been describing Israel and her relations with her neighbours. Just to let you see how small Israel is, you can see that it's just a tiny speck, surrounded by countries that are hostile, determined to 'wipe out the Jews'.

The formation of Israel was nothing short of a miracle. When the Romans conquered Israel and destroyed the Temple, many Jews were scattered world wide. After the Holocaust and the 2nd World War, there were enough sympathetic support in the world to actually bring about an Israeli state The British Mandate of Palestine proposed the formation of 2 nations: an Arab Trans-Jordan, and a Jewish nation, Israel. The Jewish diaspora started returning to their homeland as prophesied in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 34:13 -"And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in the inhabited places of the country".

After Israel declared their independence, the 'ancient hatred' of the Arab nations gathered to try to prevent the Jewish nation from coming to fruition, culminating in the 6-Day war. Israel's territories were extended after the 6-Day War.

The land was just desolate wasteland and dessert, but as prophesied, the land began to "bloom" when the people worked on it.

Ezekiel 36:8-11 - "But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the LORD."
