While in Kuala Lipis, dad had the honour of renaming a river. After the delicious meal of patin fish (of which the chef told us was sourced from the local river), we drove back to the hotel. As we drove around the town, we wondered which local river the fish might came from. As we approached a bridge, Alan asked : "What is the name of this river?" Everyone began to crane their necks to look for any signboard. Dad exclaimed confidently : "Oh, it's called SUNGAI KITA!"
Stunned looks from YK and Alicia again. ' No!," they shouted in unison. "This is a campaign. See ? It's SAYANGILAH SUNGAI KITA!! Oh Alfred!!! Your BM is attrocious!" Another round of laughter - with dad looking very sheepish, of course!!
